I wish I could share the enthusiasm of other reviewers, but this has to be the most useless guidebook I've ever read. It reads like it was written for sixth-graders by one of their peers who got her information from Wikipedia and has never actually been to Rome. Things to see and do in the city? It lists ten entries with very short descriptions of each and does not even post hours they are open or how to get there. Restaurant recommendations? Only nine across the whole city, and it does not appear that the reviews (again very brief) are based on personal visits. Detail is sorely lacking; grammatical errors abound. You could get the same amount of information in five minutes on the internet. Spend a couple dollars more for a guide that has tips you won't find anywhere else, a pull-out map and a more thorough listing of places to see, things to do, where to stay and what to eat.Product details

I am in love with Rome. I have lived in Italy in my 20ties, and so I have been to Rome many times. I am lucky to have Italian friends there and they would always show me around. I have always had a great time, loved the culture, the people and found the "Rome energy" amazing. I found this guide and picked it up to refresh some of my old memories. I can tell it's clearly written by someone who knows the city and the culture really well. I enjoyed many historical and cultural facts that to be honest I did not know...now I feel like going there again. I agree with the author- the way Italians drive (especially in Rome) can be scary hehe...!
The European airlines recommended in this guide- easyjet- yes, wizzair- yes, but I personally don't recommend ryinair...
As a student who once majored in Art history although never having been to Rome. I felt jealous to have this much information on a place I've always dreamt of going. If I ever get the chance I'm making sure to bring this book as an added reference point. it contain information on cafe's, hostels and various advice how to get there and basic travel within the city as well peak and off season periods of Rome which is always good to know. I began to crave coffee and chocolate and real pizza. not if i would go to the Vatican but i know I would want to see the Sistine chapel. if you want a clear cut straight to the point of facts and advice. I would highly recommend this wonderfully engaging guide to anyone going and your lucky for that adventure.
Literally all you need! This covers any type of travel you may plan to do, from hostels to resorts! Great buy for anyone planning to visit Rome anytime in their life!
Great guide to Rome. I appreciate the effort the author put into describing all the things to do throughout Rome. When or if I travel there I will be coming back to this book.

Great guide if you’re planning on traveling rome or if you’re just curious. It has a lot of great points, and it also gives recommendations on the places you might want to hit up. From food to hotels, this book will is a great help.
